SearchScripting.com is a specialized search engine. We're interested in indexing only those sites specifically related to scripting in one of the following categories:
We primarily look for sites that are either frequently-updated blogs, sites with tutorials, sites with significant script repositories, and sites with reference information. Sites that expose these features primarily through static HTML pages are greatly preferred, as they're easier for our spider to crawl.
Newer sites - those which look promising but which don't yet have a lot of content - will be reviewed periodically, but not added to our index until they have a fairly substantial amount of unique or original content. This helps keep our index "dense" with valuable search results.
Please note that we do not index discussion sites (forums, bulletin boards). This is due to the large volume of data involved in these sites, and the relatively lower density of authoritative information found in them. Under certain conditions we will index forums archives, provided those are primarily static pages. ScriptingAnswers.com is a good example: We index the forums archives, but not the "current" forums.
Commercial sites - those primarily dedicated to selling a product of some kind - are never included in our index. If you own such a site but have non-commercial content to share, we recommend moving your non-commercial content to a different Internet domain that doesn't promote your commercial product. Then we'll be happy to consider your site for inclusion; our own family of SAPIEN.com Web sites, for example, are not included in the index because they're commercial sites. The only exception is ScriptingAnswers.com, which is primarily "community" in nature and which doesn't display advertising or promotions for SAPIEN's software.
If you have a site that you'd like us to include in our index, please e-mail websupport@sapien.com. Include your full site URL, contact information, and a description of the site. Be sure to include "SearchScripting Submission" as the subject line of your e-mail. All submissions are reviewed manually, and our decisions as to what becomes included in our index is final.
If you have another scripting topic you'd like us to consider indexing, e-mail websupport@sapien.com and describe your request.
